PROCESS
SBS / Labour Agreements with DHA
The first step, once you make up your mind to hire migrant workers, is to get approved by Department of Home Affairs(DHA) as a legitimate actively operating business. This approval is called Standard Business Sponsor (SBS) approval which allowes your business to hire migrant wokers from within or outside of Australia for 5 years for any Nominated occupation. In addition you can also enter in to a specific Labour Agreement with DHA detailing your specific needs for migrant workers for speacific number of years.
NOMINATION
The second and most important stage is to get the occupation and number of workers you want to get approved by the DHA. This is a lengthy and a complaex process and approvals depends on various factors such as wages being offered and efforts taken to prove that you tried to hire Australians first.
VISA APPLICATION
Upon receiving NOMINATION , the migrant worker applies to get the work visa. Once the verification of documents, criminal and medical backgrounds are verified the visa / case officer aoorves or rejects visa. Once visa is approved , we beegin the relocation/settlement porcess in Australia.
